*bows* i apologize.. as a multimedia manager seems like i didn't do much.. i shall reflect me actions :D

4/7/2010 3rd session to Vision Home

This is our third time to the Vision Home. We arrive at 2p.m. What a sunny day. So after we arrive, we start our preparation. We all look excited because we are gonna play an interesting game with them.

Preparation of the Game~

They look so curious~ "What is happening? Are you all gonna hang us up on the string?"

Separate into two teams. The game is call "Land Mine"

Explaining the rules and the guidelines. The "rubbish" on the floor are the Land Mines!!

They have to blindfolded with a cloth in order to act like a blind people. They have to recognize their own team voice and follow the order to avoid the land mines and get to the ending line.

"Oh my God, I am so scare. The land mine is in front of me."

"I must be careful. I have to walk slowly. I don't want to step on the land mine (T^T)"

"Ops~ I step on the land mine. Sorry guys~"

After the game we continue with the theme of the day . We decide to use comic style to tell them about a real life story.

The kids are fully paying attention towards the story~ They seem enjoying the story~

Now is the time for Eric to explain the story and what they learn see from the story.

2/7/2010 - Hi Salvation Army :D

Our first meeting with Salvation Army Boys and Salvation Army girls last Friday, 2/7/2010. Here are some snapshot on that day :D

Hi! Vision Home :D

We had our first visit to Vision Home in Ipoh on the 15th June 2010

We started our journey at around 9am.

Before we start off with our journey, we gather in June's house as usual.

At that week, Elaine's car was unavailable. Therefore we only have Yiang Ping's car left to travel down to Ipoh. The only problem is that 6 people can't fit into Yiang Ping's car so Eric would have to ride on his motorcycle all the way to Ipoh.

We stopped by at some restaurant for breakfast.

Vision Home..

we arrived around 9.45am..

immediately we get things prepared..

Mr Koshy, the caretaker of Vision Home greeted us warmly.

we started our session around 10am with ice breaking which is lead by Yiang Ping.

Eric helped along..

Getting to know the children..

We played "musical chair" on our ice breaking.

Before we started our game, we gave small piece of paper to each of the children to write out the "punishment" for the person who lost their seat.

After that we did some drawing.

We asked the children to draw out their "dreams" or goals.

After that share about their drawings to everyone.

This is to know each of the children better,

what they're thinking, what is their interest and so on..

some of them were really shy and unable to speak out confidently.

we move on to our main event on the day.

Eric started by briefly introducing the children about us, cybercare, what we do,

what is our main purpose and etc etc..

After Eric, it was my turn to brief the children regarding on what we will teach them in the ICT part

Elaine take over by briefing the children on CSP = Community Service Project

Ah Sia take over after that by telling them about 3R ( Reuse, Reduce, Recycle)

then show them a video about it

to create awareness amoung the children.

After Siaw Jiun finish briefing about SMART, we asked the children to list out about their dream and goals and measure it by using SMART

On the other hand, Ah Sia is very popular among the little kids age around primary school level.

After the children finished listing down their goals and dream by using SMART, we asked them to come out and share it to everyone.

We wrap the whole thing up by Eric doing the "feedback" session. where we asked the children to give us feedback regarding of our whole performance and how the feel about the whole session.
