Cybercare 2011 New interns recruit!

Hey all~ it's been a while :D this is just a short updates hehe..

yes.. recruit.. we team SHINE is now officially a "senior" lol..

we were asked to recruit the upcoming batch interns.

Even though cybercare intern for our batch ended.. every experience with cybercare is always so new..

so yeah.. team SHINE kinda volunteered to recruit the upcoming batch.

it feels like everything was back to the good old days.. when we see our juniors it reminded us back when each and everyone of us were so confused and clueless on what's going to happen next during our intern interview at block D utar, counseling room.

That was the very first start of our journey with cybercare. as usual the interview is very "one of a kind" that made a deep impression, i still remembered very clearly, what happened on that day, wad we did, and each and everyone's feelings and expression. it's all still so fresh in mind, as if it was just yesterday.. hehe..

Anyway it was really nice and i am very honoured to be given such privillage, to be able to be a part of this recruiting. I was very nervous excited the whole morning.. hehe.. it ended well, everything goes on smoothly, the feedback was great, as what we've visualized earlier last week with Miss Sharmini. It may not seem perfect during the process but everything was perfect at that moment. haha..

It leads me to have this mix feeling of happiness throughout the entire day. i really really really really missed the days back in cybercare :) even though its over now.

Cybercare is really something.. everything comes in a package. all in one. haha.. from experiencing personal growth, to helping others, inspiring others, team work, conflicts, sweet moments, awesome moments, sad moments, then after that self/job appraisals, then now recruiting.. wow.. WHERE CAN YOU EXPERIENCE SUCH INTERNSHIP AT OTHER PLACES?!

This most probably will be my last updates here. This cybercare blog, will be off from my hands to another upcoming publicity manager.. whom will be an awesome person, and maybe a better blogger than me.. hehe. to be honest im not really good in doing professional writing hehe. but still each people has their own styles right? :)

Anyway, if any of the juniors who went to the interview today...

I wish you well, i wish you all the best in your IA, I wish you all the wisdom and experiences that you may gain among your team mates and the children as well as our coach and grow along with it. May this be your best experience you have during this 3 months period that you'll never forget and may many happy returns after that.

I guess this is good bye?

For the last time, after our internship period ends, for the last time we went all the way down to meet Mr Cheong and Miss Sharmini as our last weekly visitation + coaching. Only this time was a little different than the other days. Our main purpose today was self appraisal.

We started our journey as usual gather at Siaw Jiun's house but it was rather late than usual today. Usually during our weekly coaching, we'll meet in Siaw Jiun's house early morning. Our Appraisal today starts at 4pm at Mr Cheong's office so we gather around 1pm.

We went down to KL with only 1 car today. Elaine is in Seremban, at her grandma house so she'll meet us directly in KL.

We reach Mr Cheong's office at Damansara Heights around 4pm. Mr Cheong wasn't in so we had to wait..

We sat at the lobby patiently from 4pm till 11.30pm

reading novels that Siaw Jiun brought, some slept, and hang around, chit chat..

the long wait was rather boring.. but none of us seem to complain about it..

everyone seems to enjoy each other company?

haha i don't know that's how i felt today :D

It was nice :D

while sitting down waiting, we see the workers left the company one by one..

till the whole place was empty.. just us, Mr Cheong, and Miss Sharmini

I enjoyed it..

It was something really new to me.

i still learned alot today even thought its self appraisal day..

Some of us got really high marks today,

some didn't..

for me.. we all did awesome

marks doesn't matter..

i think what matters most is that i learn something very valuable throughout this 3 months..

something that i'll remember throughout the rest of my life..

i learn to appreciate things,

i learn how to appreciate myself,

i learn more about myself,

others,

the working world,

my feelings, my state,

my feedbacks..

and working as a team.

After the whole appraisal thing end, we bid goodbyes with Mr Cheong and Miss Sharmini, hugged and say our thanks. I really really will miss both of them.. Always there giving us endless supports and advice..

what i'll really missed the most is team SHINE..

its not like we wont see each other.. i just meant that i'll miss those times us working together as a team, hanging out, laughing, sharing, travelling, coaching, learning, conflicts, sharing the stress, and sleepless nights preparing CSP.

really.. i want to thank you all, i want to thank Eric, Sia, Yiang PIng, Elaine, Siaw Jiun. Thank you for always being there to support me and event listen to my useless dramas, thank you for putting up for my childishness and being so patient towards my blurness. and lastly thank you for creating this such wonderful experience together with me in this 3 months. i really love you guys.. i want to thank the kids, Salvation Army girls and boys, Vision Home. you kids is really the best, you are all very great kids. thank you for participating with us and willing to join us in our journey.. i really love you guys too.. T_T

Even though everything now has come to an end.. everyone will now back to their lives before everything started, somehow, it wont be the same anymore with the past 3 months before we met.. everything has changed.. this is really MAD! the whole program is really MAD. it changes so many things that is is so annoyingly amazing..

28/8/2010 - Save Me, Reuse me! Fundraising (Finale)

Our fundraising event.. the grand finale of the whole 3 months..

Everything started around 4.30am where Yiang Ping and Eric, Elaine and her friend volunteered to help us to fetch and bring the children to our event venue at SJKC Wah Keow, Langkap, Teluk Intan. We started off early because we had to travel and bring the kids all the way from Ipoh to Teluk Intan and there was alot of item to bring along as well..

Everyone reach SJKC Wah Keow around 9.30am sharp, it was kinda late but we've already tried our best. People already started to enter the hall even before we manage to set up all the booths. Rushy morning :D All thanks to the kids being so cooperative to us, we manage to get everything done smoothly on time.

We start off the event with some performance, and the opening ceremony was "officialize" by Mr Cheong.

Preparation Mania

ITS DDAY~!!! last day of our IA.. AND ALSO OUT BIGGEST EVENT!! OUR EVENT SAVE ME , REUSE ME FUNDRAISING EVENT DAY!!! so sad + SO excited + so nervous + so tired (no sleep last night) + SO AWESOME = :D sigh.. time flies.. D: never expect it to be this fast.. Yesterday was really crazy =.= we stayed up whole night doing the preparations.. i just came back from Siaw Jiun's house.. she already on the way to Langkap dy.. Me and Sia, Lim and Eric will be going around 7.30am. We go seperately due to the limited space of the car.. =/
